Amnesty International (Portland Chapter)

Amnesty International is a Nobel Prize-winning grassroots activist organization with over one million members worldwide. Amnesty International is dedicated to freeing prisoners of conscience, gaining fair trials for political prisoners, ending torture, political killings and “disappearances,” and abolishing the death penalty. Portland’s Amnesty International Chapter, Group 48, has been in existence since the 1970s.

Meets on the second Friday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Native American Student and Community Center at PSU, 710 SW Jackson (corner of Jackson and Broadway). Informal meeting begins at 7 pm, with the formal meeting starting at 7:30 pm.
