Palermo’s Workers in the News

Boycott Palermo's!YELL
Young, emerging, Labor Leaders: Oregon AFL-CIO
on Friday, November 16, 2012

15 organizers took a bus to Seattle to help out our sisters and brothers
in UFCW.    (United Food and Commercial Workers)  They are fighting for a first contract with Palermo's Pizza.  There was a rally at their headquarters at 999 Lake Drive, Issaquah, WA  at NOON! more info:  Nick Gaitaud 541=979-9755   usw7150@yahoo.com

Details on the Struggle. 150 workers signed petitions to form a union. Two days after this, 89 immigrant workers were pressured to show formal paperwork indicating they were legally entitled to work in the US.  10 days later, most were fired!  They have been on an Unfair Labor Practice Strike since June 1st.  We helped these workers stand up, speak out, and organize for justice.   "No Justice, No Piece."  Palermo Workers Union.
