Prop. 8 is ‘unconstitutional trash’
|

Thursday, March 19, there was a demonstration in Portland to protest the payment of bonuses at AIG.
Working Americans are asking for economic justice and real change. Protesters gathered to stand up to the “Enemies of Change” in a Wall Street vs. Main Street rally and march.
Amidst cries of “No more bailouts for bonuses!,” activists tried to engage bystanders with facts: Last year, while 2.6 million Americans lost their jobs and taxpayers stepped in with $350 billion to bail out banks, Wall Street walked away with $18.4 billion in bonuses.
Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Key Bank and others took billions to stay afloat, while aggressively lobbying against workers’ interests.
Isn’t it time for a new direction?
If Congress and the White house don’t listen, then working Americans will take it to the streets and put in on the evening news until Washington listens.
